When ministry leaders carefully reflect on God’s call to serve others in the church, they can feel overwhelmed and inadequate. How do the truths of the gospel encourage you to rest in God’s all-sufficient grace in Christ as you continue to grow as a ministry leader by the enabling power of God’s Spirit? Be sure to use at least one biblical passage as your foundation.
1. Identify the foundational aspects of ministerial leadership.
2. Explain the challenges to and the importance of ministerial ethics.
Here is Rev. Ravy Van experience’s see the testimony below:
As my experience in 2008 when my congregation called me to serve as a pastor assistant I felt inadequate with the ministry because at that time I have no experience, just a bible student in year one, and also a young leader with the ministry, it’s a big challenging with my first served. The frightfulness started in my mind from day by day but one time when I read the bible in 2Timothy2:15(ESV) “15 Do your best to present yourself to God as one approved, a worker who has no need to be ashamed, rightly handling the word of truth.”
In this passage, Timothy preaches not only in the presence of people but also of God who sees all things approved. It reflects my life that I need first to prove myself although I have no experience or young age, and others, everything accepted by God through faith in Jesus. So in this bible verse, it’s more encouraging me to continue His ministries with confidential and faithfully although I felt fearfulness and the task was overwhelming but God be with me and encourage me in the bible verse as a worker who has no need to be ashamed, rightly handling the word of truth. Amen
