What is the Spiritual Disciplines?

Discuss two specific spiritual disciplines that you practice on a regular basis and how they impact your spiritual life and growth in personal integrity.

For me the two specific spiritual disciplines are:

(1)Bible Study

(2)Bible Reading and praying

“2 Timothy 3:16–17 (ESV): 16 All Scripture is breathed out by God and profitable for teaching, for reproof, for correction, and for training in righteousness, 17 that the man of God may be complete, equipped for every good work.” It is best to have a balanced life in Bible Study, Bible Reading and Praying constantly in my daily spiritual life. Nevertheless if one type of spiritual discipline fires me up in Christ, it is good to get as much of that as possible while still keeping a healthy amount of time in the other spiritual disciplines. It’s essentially to spend time for Bible study 9 hours and more in a week.As my experience I can learn more deeply both spiritual life and integrity from His word especially at least making an effort to build my relationship with God as well as the quality of my relationship with Christ.

Anyway, Saint Paul urges the believers to place the wealthy calling to be God’s people on one side of the scale and then to place on the other a life lived morally and ethically corresponding fully to that calling, balancing the scale(Eph.4-6)(P.49). Not only for my life to be faithful with the word of God but also impact my personal integrity from Bible Study and Bible Reading. It reflects with Law and Gospel from the Bible it is the key for guidance to me to follow, confess, obedience, submission and pray for my weakness and with my daily life tempted to sin during work and ministry from scripture to strengthen my integrity and spiritual life. For example in (Gen4:9)Cain and Abel who are talking about Ethics and morality are essentially issues of relationship.(P.50). This story helps me more to maintain my personal integrity with God’s word , people, congregation, community and Ministry.

Personally, I do need to study the Bible,Bible Reading and praying are important for spiritual life growing, motivation, encouragement, reproof, for correction, training in righteousness, equipped for every good work.

Many Blessings,

RAVY
